Holidays are back on, and if you're lucky enough to have booked that last Airbnb in Cornwall, then it's time to start thinking about your Great British Holiday wardrobe....
We always tend to go to Devon or Cornwall in the summer, so I've become something of an expert at packing for a British holiday. The first thing to remember is that whilst it's tempting to dress like you do at home, you are on holiday, so do bring those special 'holiday' tops and favourite skirts and dresses, as they will add to the mood and get you into the holiday spirit.
Secondly, as we all know, you can never rely on the weather, so it's very much a case of packing for four seasons in one day. While you may be tempted to go low-key and just pack shorts, jeans and tees, it's always a good idea to throw in a fabulous sundress or two, for those days when the sun shines and it feels like Spain. As well, of course, as those gorgeous jumpers and cool cover ups...
THE HOLIDAY FEELING
There's nothing like a beautiful summer bag or a fabulous colourful piece of jewellery to get you in the holiday spirit. My tassel necklaces, gorgeous bangles and cocktail rings will add that holiday feeling to even the most plain of outfits.
DRESS TO IMPRESS
It's always said to never save your best clothes for best and there's no time quite like now to bring out those fabulous summer dresses. We've spent months in Lockdown, so now we're allowed (socially-distanced) out, make the most of your chance to wear a gorgeous dress.
Whether we're staying at home or jumping on a plane, my holiday essentials always include a roomy bag or basket, an eye mask (essential if you're staying somewhere with thin blinds/cuttons) and comfy clothes for travelling. Also remember a fantastic pouch like my flamingo or palm ones by Elizabeth Scarlett, which can also be used as a clutch, and you'll be ready to go!
